Synopsis[]
Shadow and Bone features Alina Starkov, a refugee from the fictional country of Ravka, which has been overrun with flesh-eating monsters. When her best friend is brutally injured during an attack, Alina unleashes a power she never knew she had, and for the first time in her life, she is noticed. She is taken to the royal court to be a member of the Grisha, an elite order of magical people led by a mysterious figure called The Darkling. Possible film adaptation[]
Shadow and Bone was picked up by Dreamworks to be turned into a movie. The movie will be produced by David Heyman, who was the producer of Harry Potter.
